Privacy Policy

mindspace does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and nothing to upload. This policy exists to say exactly that, and to be specific about the few places where anything at all happens to what you write.

What we collect

Nothing. mindspace has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs that collect information. We do not know who you are, whether you use the app, or how often.

Where your writing lives

Everything you create — journal entries, mind trees, gratitude slips, guided sessions, photos, drawings and voice notes — is stored as files on your iPhone. It is not transmitted anywhere. The developer has no access to it and no ability to recover it.

If you use iCloud Backup, your device backup may include the app's files. That backup is between you and Apple, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and encrypted under your Apple Account. We cannot read it.

The on-device phrase check

While you are writing a journal entry, the text near your cursor is compared against a fixed list of words and phrases stored inside the app. If one matches, a card appears with a crisis line on it.

This comparison happens entirely on your device. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is logged, and nobody is notified — not the developer, not a service, not anyone. It is a string comparison running on your phone, and it is the only automatic inspection of your text that the app performs.

It is also crude, and deliberately so. It looks for particular phrasings and nothing else. It does not understand what you have written and it cannot tell whether you are in danger. Please do not treat it as a safety net, and do not read its silence as meaning anything at all.

Apple Intelligence

On devices that support it, the short question that sometimes appears while you write may be generated by Apple's on-device language model rather than picked from a list in the app.

That generation runs on your iPhone. Your text is not sent to the developer, and it is not sent to any server we operate — we have no server. The model's own behavior and data handling are Apple's, governed by Apple's privacy policy.

You can turn these questions off at any time in Settings → Preferences → Suggested Questions. Everything else in the app works identically with them off.

Speech transcription

If you record a voice note and ask for a transcript, the audio is transcribed using Apple's on-device speech framework. The audio and the transcript stay on your phone.

Notifications

Some exercises can schedule reminders. These are local notifications delivered by iOS on your device. They are never sent from a server, and scheduling one tells us nothing.

If you email us

Contacting support@mindspace.now means we receive whatever you choose to put in that email, including your address. We use it to reply to you and nothing else — no list, no marketing, no sharing. Please don't paste journal entries into a support email unless you actually want us to read them.

Children

mindspace is not directed at children under 13 and should not be used by them. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.

Your rights

Data protection laws give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over or erase. You already have complete and direct control:

• Access — open the app; it's all there.
• Export — every exercise produces a PDF you keep.
• Delete — remove any single entry, or use Delete All Data in Settings to erase everything at once.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect what happens to your writing are also reflected in the app's Terms of Use, which you will be asked to accept again.
